New Volunteer Opportunities

Sandi  Lofgren has finalized job descriptions for our two new  hospital Volunteer programs – Diagnostic Imaging and Ambulatory Clinic Volunteer.

Chances Are is always looking for new volunteers, including men, to help sort donations certain mornings or act as cashiers throughout the week. Please contact Bev Latva @ dovuchauxiliary.msh.on.ca or 905-852-9771 x5237.

Please note  both positions have a high-touch area cleaning component and  therefore will require volunteers to be on their feet for a large portion of the shift.

  1. Diagnostic Imaging Volunteer
  • Assist patients to find the Registration and DI area as needed
  • Wipe high-touch areas in the department
  • Assist techs to wipe equipment between patients
  • Direct patients to sit in the Main Waiting room as appropriate vs lining up in the hallway
  1. Ambulatory Clinic Volunteer 
  • Monitor second floor waiting room for crowding, physical distancing
  • Assist clerk to wipe chairs and tables between patients
  • Wipe high-touch areas and waiting room chairs between patients
